If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this Service. The materials, algorithms, software code, and interface designs contained on this Site are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

2. Description of Service

MakeMealPlan is a personalized digital health and meal planning software application. Our platform utilizes advanced nutritional algorithms and artificial intelligence (LLM orchestration) to generate customized weekly meal schedules, macro and calorie distributions, recipe instructions, and aisle-sorted smart grocery shopping lists based on biological metrics and eating preferences entered by users.

The Service includes free health calculators (such as BMR, TDEE, Calorie Deficit, BMI, and Macro calculators) as well as premium membership subscription tiers offering unlimited meal generation, smart recipe swaps, saved history, and PDF export capabilities.

3. Subscriptions, Payments & Billing

Certain aspects of the Service require a paid membership subscription. By selecting a subscription plan, you agree to pay all applicable fees associated with your chosen plan.

3.1 Subscription Tiers & Billing Cycles

MakeMealPlan offers periodic subscriptions, including:

  • 1-Week Plan: Billed automatically every 7 calendar days.
  • 1-Month Plan: Billed automatically every 30 calendar days.
  • 3-Month Plan (Roadmap): Billed automatically every 90 calendar days.
  • Introductory Trials: Where applicable (such as introductory $1 trial periods), access is granted for the trial duration (e.g., 7 days). Following the conclusion of the trial period, your subscription automatically transitions to the standard monthly plan ($19.99/month) unless cancelled prior to the end of the trial.

3.2 Payment Processor & Merchant of Record

All financial checkout processing, payment card handling, currency conversion, and sales tax compliance are managed securely by our authorized Merchant of Record, Dodo Payments Inc. ("Dodo Payments"). When you purchase a subscription on MakeMealPlan, your billing relationship is established with Dodo Payments in accordance with their terms of purchase. MakeMealPlan does not store or process raw credit card numbers on its servers.

3.3 Automatic Renewal

To guarantee uninterrupted access to your personalized meal plans, recipe swaps, and grocery lists, all subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current regular subscription rate using your original payment method, unless you cancel prior to the renewal date.

3.4 1-Click Cancellation Anytime

You may cancel your subscription at any time with a single click. There are no cancellation penalties, contracts, or lock-in commitments. You can cancel by:

  • Navigating to the Subscription & Billing tab within your logged-in Member Dashboard and clicking "Cancel Subscription".
  • Using the secure self-serve billing portal link provided in your receipt emails from Dodo Payments.
  • Contacting our support team at support@makemealplan.com.

Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of your prepaid billing period, and no further recurring charges will occur.

4.3 Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be granted in the following circumstances:

  • Requests submitted after the thirty (30) day guarantee window has elapsed.
  • Requests based on "buyer's remorse" or simple change-of-mind without ever viewing, generating, or following the meal plan.
  • Subsequent renewal charges where the subscriber failed to cancel prior to the renewal date. Subscriptions can be cancelled 24/7 with 1 click in your dashboard.

  • Consult Your Physician: You must always consult a licensed doctor, registered dietitian, or qualified healthcare provider before undertaking any caloric deficit, restrictive diet, intermittent fasting regimen, or altering your nutrition.
  • Food Allergies & Intolerances: While our platform provides ingredient exclusion and allergy filtering, AI-generated recipes may occasionally contain inaccuracies. It is your sole, absolute responsibility to check and verify all food ingredients before consumption.
  • Metabolic Variation: Mathematical formulas (such as Mifflin-St Jeor) provide scientific estimations based on averages. Your exact biological expenditure may vary based on hormonal health, medication, or medical history.
  • Assumption of Risk: By using MakeMealPlan, you voluntarily assume all inherent risks associated with dietary modifications. We disclaim any liability for adverse physical reactions, illness, injury, or nutrient deficiencies.

6. User Accounts & Security

To access paid features, save meal plans, or customize preferences, you must register an account using Google OAuth 2.0 or Email One-Time Password (OTP) verification. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and truthful information during registration and onboarding.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of your account credentials.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide fraudulent information or engage in system abuse.

7. Permitted & Prohibited Use

You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use MakeMealPlan strictly for your personal, non-commercial health planning. You may download, print, and export your meal plans and grocery lists for personal use.

Prohibited Actions:

  • Commercial resale, sublicensing, redistribution, or white-labeling of MakeMealPlan meal plans or software code.
  • Automated scraping, crawling, extraction, or bulk harvesting of recipes, menus, or nutrition databases.
  • Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or attempting to discover the source code of our routing and meal generator engines.
  • Launching automated bot requests or denial-of-service (DDoS) attempts that impair server infrastructure.

8. Artificial Intelligence & Third-Party Integrations

MakeMealPlan interfaces with secure third-party Large Language Model (LLM) APIs via OpenRouter to assist in generating culinary recipe instructions and flavor variations. You acknowledge that AI-generated text is algorithmic and may occasionally suggest recipes requiring kitchen adjustments.

Additionally, our Service integrates external CDNs, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Pexels API (for stock photography), and affiliate merchant links (such as Amazon Associates). We do not control and are not liable for third-party websites, external product availability, or third-party service interruptions.

9. Intellectual Property

All original codebase architecture, user interface designs, logos, graphics, icons, copy, and curated nutritional registries on makemealplan.com are the exclusive intellectual property of MakeMealPlan and are protected under international copyright, trademark, and trade dress regulations.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties (All-Caps Notice)

THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ALL MEAL PLANS, RECIPES, CALCULATIONS, GROCERY LISTS, AND SOFTWARE TOOLS, IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

MAKEMEALPLAN HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR DIETARY PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, BUG-FREE, OR FREE OF DEFECTS.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MAKEMEALPLAN, ITS OWNERS, DIRECTORS, AFFILIATES, OR PAYMENT PROCESSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA LOSS, FOOD-RELATED ILLNESS, ALLERGIC REACTIONS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU TO MAKEMEALPLAN IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.

12. Governing Law & Class Action Waiver

These Terms of Service and any dispute arising out of or related to them shall be governed by and construed under applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

YOU AND MAKEMEALPLAN AGREE THAT ALL CLAIMS AND DISPUTES MUST BE RESOLVED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms of Service at any time. When revisions are made, the "Last updated" date at the top of this document will be amended accordingly. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of revised Terms constitutes your binding agreement to the changes.
