MakeMealPlan is a free, web-based AI-powered meal planning utility that generates customized weekly food menus, macro nutrient distributions, and consolidated grocery shopping lists based on metabolic indices and eating preferences entered by users. The calculations provided (such as BMR and TDEE) are estimations calculated via standard clinical equations (Mifflin-St Jeor).

3. Eligibility and Use

You must be at least 13 years of age to access or use our Service. If you are under the age of 18, you represent that you have received parental or legal guardian permission to access the Site.

3.1 Permitted Personal Use

You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service strictly for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may download, print, or share your generated meal plans and grocery lists for your personal health planning.

3.2 Prohibited Use Case Guidelines

In using the Site, you explicitly agree NOT to:

  • Exploit the Service or any of its generated code or graphics for commercial distribution, resale, or sublicensing.

  • Allergen Disclaimer: While our generator features allergy exclusion filters, AI-generated recipes may occasionally contain inaccuracies. It is your sole responsibility to review ingredient lists to prevent contact with allergens.
  • Estimates Only: Biological equations (like Mifflin-St Jeor) provide statistical averages and may not accurately reflect your unique metabolic rate, medical conditions, or thyroid activity.

6. Limitation of Liability

All original codebase architecture, design tokens, illustrations, logo marks, templates, and content hosted on makemealplan.com are the exclusive property of MakeMealPlan and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

You may not duplicate, copy, republish, or reverse-engineer any portion of the Site's core scripts or styles without prior explicit written authorization from us.

8. DMCA Copyright Complaints

We respect the intellectual property of others. If you believe that any content hosted on our Site infringes upon your copyright, you may submit a take-down request under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to our designated agent:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.

9. Third-Party Integrations & Affiliate Links

Our Service queries the OpenRouter API to fetch AI-generated recipes. We do not control or endorse the content returned by third-party APIs. We are not liable for API downtime, structural output errors, or external links loaded via CDNs, font libraries, or third-party advertising modules (such as Ezoic).

Additionally, the Site contains outbound affiliate links to third-party merchant sites (such as Amazon.com) for recommended meal-prep gear and books. We do not control or assume responsibility for the product availability, shipping terms, customer service, or policies of these merchant sites. Any purchase you make on an affiliate site is strictly between you and that third-party merchant.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MakeMealPlan, its officers, directors, and employees, from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including attorney's fees, arising out of your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

11.1 Class Action Waiver & Binding Arbitration

YOU AND MAKEMEALPLAN AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. You agree to resolve any dispute through binding arbitration rather than filing lawsuits in civil courts, to the maximum extent permitted under local legislation.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to revise these Terms of Service at any time. When we make updates, we will modify the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Your continued use of the Site after revisions are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
